DA worried about waste collection

“They deserve a clean, healthy, and safe environment."

SEDIBENG.- The DA in Sedibeng is deeply concerned by the ongoing suffering of residents in Sebokeng, Evaton, and surrounding areas.

DA’s Daddy Mollo said that despite the recent delivery of four new compactors to the Emfuleni Local Municipality “the situation on the ground remains dire”.

“Last week, the municipality was unable to service the Sebokeng and Evaton areas, and the schedule for this week indicates that these areas will once again not be serviced. Residents continue to endure unsanitary conditions, with waste accumulating in the streets. This is a clear failure by the municipality to provide basic services to its people.”

Mollo said that the people of Emfuleni deserve better, “They deserve a clean, healthy, and safe environment. We demand immediate action from the municipality to restore waste collection services across all areas. Anything less is unacceptable. The DA will continue to stand up for the rights of Emfuleni residents and hold the municipality accountable for its ongoing failures.”
