Orlando Pirates’ babies host City in Vaal

Pirates DDC Coach Joseph Makhanya will demand nothing from his chargers except a win.

VANDERBIJLPARK.- Orlando Pirates’ babies will host Polokwane City in the DSTV Diski Challenge match at the Isak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbijlpark on Saturday, January 18.

Pirates find themselves in an unfamiliar place on the log with their archrivals, Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns cruising nicely at the top. Chiefs is second on the log with 27 points while Sundowns is third with 26 points from the same number of games. Stellenbosch are the log leaders with 29 points but they have played more games compared to both the Chiefs and Sundowns.

Back to the Pirates and City game, this is a must-win for young Buccaneers if they entertain any hopes to close the gap at the top.

The game kickoff is at 10:00.

Pirates DDC Coach Joseph Makhanya will demand nothing from his chargers except a win. They started this season very slowly and their position on the log tells the story of their performance. By their standard, they were supposed to be up against the likes of Chiefs and Sundowns challenging the title. Makhanya was confident that they would turn the tables around and reclaim their rightful position at the top.
