BOIPATONG.- 9eighteight Carwash & Shisanyama , in Boipatong, will celebrate Human Rights Month through hosting a sports event on March 22.

As part of popularising this much anticipated sport event, they wrapped in Luthando William Bottoman and Sukuma Lutsha, a health and fitness organisation, as brand ambassadors of the event.

This past weekend, 9eighteight hosted a successful activation under the tutelage of Dimpho Dimpsy, an activation which was attended by Aerobics clubs from all walks of life. Sukuma Lutsha and other prominent Vaal instructors were there wearing 9eighteight gym regalia to participate in the event activation that saw masses looking forward to attend the main event that will take place in March.

Bottoman said, “Not only this event will seek to celebrate human rights month but to promote sustainable livelihoods for sportsmen and sportswomen. Sukuma Lutsha’s aim through this event is to ensure that it will change the lives of young people who are subjected to high drug intake.”

The event on March will include the following sporting codes:

■ Aerobics

■ Soccer

■ Netball

■ Table Tennis

■ Fun Run/walk

In fulfilment of this, the organisers have brought Gauteng Department of Social Development to allow another event activation to take place in their headquarters, where the purpose is to reach out is to individuals who have been rehabilitated to continue maintain a clean life that is characterised by active lifestyle.
