Local coach joins Mpumalanga’s ABC Motsepe League team

“I’m very delighted to be part of this ambitious team."

SEDIBENG.- Local coach, Isaac Mphasane has joined an ABC Motsepe League Club in Mpumalanga.

Mphasane took some of the local boys along in an attempt to help the club gain promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship. Some notable local players who went with Mphasane are former Jomo Cosmos youngster Teboho Moloi and former Vaal Professionals midfielder Sibusiso ‘Zuma’ Goba.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Mphasane said he was asked by the club to come on board to help them gain promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship. Mphasane made a name for himself when he coached Swallows FC when the club was campaigning in the ABC Motsepe based here in the Vaal before relocating to Johannesburg after being bought by well-known politician, Panyaza Lesufi.

Mphasane, who also owns a local football club that campaigns in the SAFA Sedibeng Regional League, said he took some of the best talent from the Vaal to go with him to Mpumalanga and that most are experienced campaigners who have been involved in kasi tournaments.

“I’m very delighted to be part of this ambitious team. The mandate is to help the team to the Motsepe Foundation Championship and I have no doubt that with the kind of players we have here it is mission possible. We already won some important games. It is a work in progress and I’m happy with how things turned out,” said Mphasane.
