Nkoli a ‘Jack of all Trades’

Nkoli became one of South Africa’s youngest authors at the age of 13.

SEDIBENG.– Karabo ‘son of the nation’ Nkoli is a young man with many talents.

Nkoli is an author, Pan Africanist, leader, youth activist, and poet.

The first-born in his family of three boys, Nkoli became one of South Africa’s youngest authors at the age of 13. In 2016, shortly after turning 14, he published his first book, Whispers of Life, which was well received and even read by the likes of former President Thabo Mbeki, Dr Mamphela Ramphele, the late Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, Ahmed Kathrada, Mama Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, and Andrew Mlangeni, amongst others.

In December 2016, Nkoli was honoured with an award as a ‘rising star’ at the YB20 Youth Awards. In 2017 he was recognised by News24 to be one of the youngest authors in South Africa to publish their books before they were 16 years old. Because of his love for his country and his selfless life dedicated to the service, upliftment and empowerment of society and Nkoli has been named “Son of the Nation.”

In 2022 he published his second book, Conscious in Crisis that features a foreword written by Dr Mamphela Ramphele.

On July 31, 2022, he received the African Honouree Authors’ Award for his book Awakening Nations.

He is one of the founders and leaders of the Youth Must Rise Movement, he is also a mentor to many up-and-coming young authors. Nkoli is truly a ‘Jack of all trades’.
