Parks Team pleads for assistance

"We want to make a special plea to business people and companies to help us with servicing our tools."

BOIPATONG.- The Itireleng Parks Team makes a special plea to local businesses and companies to come on board to assist them with their tools.

This non-profit organisation (NPO) has been cleaning the Boipatong township for the past five years on a volunteer basis.  Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Parks Mofokeng said they desperately need four bush cutters to be serviced.

Mofokeng was speaking to Sedibeng Ster after they cleaned the Boipatong Community Park this past Wednesday. The Parks Team started cleaning the open space next to Lebohang Secondary School. This community park is one of the best, as the Boipatong community uses it for events like family gatherings.

“We make a special plea to the business people and companies in the Vaal to assist us in servicing our tools so that we can continue keeping the Boipatong township nice and clean.”

The Parks Team is dependent on donations.

“We don’t ask too much, just if there are people out there who can assist us to service our tools,” Mofokeng pleaded.

Meanwhile, Mofokeng also approached the local municipality to consider helping them.
