Matthews, who raised Mofokeng, said as a family they are going to miss him for his personality and humbleness.
“I raised Tumelo after his parents passed on and he was like my own son. He was not selfish and he always shared everything with the people close to him. He used to share opportunities with those who were not working. We are all going to miss him, ( he will be missed) especially by his wife and children because he loved them,” said Matthews.
Mofokeng worked for the Daily Sun newspaper as a Photojournalist (Photographer/Journalist) among other publications where he was also once named the Journalist of the Year.
Mofokeng’s memorial service will take place at the Mafatsane Community Hall in Evaton on Thursday at 17:00.
