Paardeberg Road impassable to motorists

"Moreover, it seems that many residents have already reported the problem, but Metsimaholo Municipality is doing nothing to address the matter."

VAALPARK – Many roads in the Vaal are riddled with potholes, but few can compete with Paardeberg Road. The road is now practically unusable for motorists. Only 4×4 vehicles could still dare to venture onto the road. “I recently had to try to drive there. Any small vehicle struggles and one has to drive on the pavement to prevent damage to one’s vehicle or tyres. It is a blatant disgrace,” says resident Tertia van Wyk.

Moreover, it seems that many residents have already reported the problem, but Metsimaholo Municipality is doing nothing to address the matter. “Private citizens are trying to help. You can no longer invite people to your home. The chance that their vehicle’s tires could be damaged is a given,” complains Tertia.
