Bedworthpark, Vereeniging resident and reality TV star, Ayanda Piyo is on the show The catch on Mzansi Magic. The multi-faceted actor, model, and entrepreneur’s love for showbiz ignited at a young age despite his family’s opposition to the idea of the entertainment industry.

“I was, however, able to juggle modelling and school at the same time, and later went into runway modelling where I found myself gracing stages like SA fashion week, David Tlale’s Vosloorus to New York and Afrika Fashion week.”

Piyo has also been on shows like The Queen (Season 4), Rockville (Season 5), and Rhythm City. He has earned lead roles in films like The Chronicles of Lobola and Blind Love. He describes The Catch as, “South Africa’s most thrilling dating show, a game for love or greed.”

The show is about eight beautiful ladies who are seriously looking for love. They will meet eight eligible bachelors who could be their possible match, but there’s a twist. In addition to the right bachelors, there are six hidden imposters.  The female contestants have to navigate finding love in paradise while staying alert on who’s in it for love and who’s in for the money.
