Liquor outlets owners warned
It is an offense to sell or supply liquor to a person who is visibly intoxicated.
SEBOKENG.- The Sebokeng police have said that liquor owners/managers owners seem to have forgotten the laws that govern their outlets.
It is for this reason that they would like to warn all liquor outlets owners that do not adhere to the National Liquor Act to refrain from doing so.

Sebokeng police spokesperson, Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane, said that liquor outlet owners and/or managers should comply in accordance with the Liquor Act as follows:
– Trading Hours:
Liquor trading hours are regulated, with a common restriction of sales between 10:00 and 02:00.
– Selling to Minors:
It is an offense to sell or supply liquor to a person under the age of 18, or to purchase liquor for or on behalf of a minor.
– Selling to Intoxicated Persons:
It is an offense to sell or supply liquor to a person who is visibly intoxicated.
– Unlicensed Premises:
Selling liquor from unlicensed premises is illegal.
– Compliance and Consequences:
Businesses must comply with the regulations of their liquor license and the Liquor Act to avoid penalties as non-compliance can lead to fines, imprisonment, or license revocation.
– Weapon-Free Liquor Premises:
The Liquor Act mandates that liquor premises must be free of weapons and sharp objects.
– Owners/Managers must
Report any criminal activities that may occur in their business, or anything suspicious.
