Pirates and Perfect Academy meet set in table clash

SEDIBENG.- Young Pirates FC and Perfect Academy will battle for the top of the table in the SAFA Sedibeng Hollywoodbets Men’s Regional League match.

This is the second-round fixture after they played to a 2-all draw in the first round. This much-awaited encounter is scheduled to take place at the Rand Water grounds on Friday.

It is expected be the mother of all battles, as Perfect Academy will fight for their life to close the gap at the top. This Sharpeville-based side is third on the log with 68 points, while Young Pirates topping the log standings with 71 points. Pirates still have a game in hand after they played 26 games while Perfect Academy has played 27 games this season so far.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Perfect Academy Head Coach, Sechaba Mofokeng said it is going to be a tough game. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that this game has the potential to decide which direction the league will go in at the end of the season.

“I know it is early days to start making predictions about which team will be crowned the league champions at the end of the season, but I believe this game will give both teams an idea where the league will be going,” he concluded.
