Missing Tumahole teenager reunited with family
The teenager had been missing since May 1, with her last whereabouts being Vereeniging.
Bonolo Deidra ‘Didi’ Seitheiso (16) from Tumahole was found safe in Randburg on May 15 and reunited with her family.
According to her family, she finally made contact with them and was able to share her location, making it possible for police to find her. Didi used her phone to share her location, which is how the police were able to track her down and bring her back home.
“We are so happy that our daughter has been found safe. No parent deserves to go through what we went through. These were the longest two weeks of our lives, and we are just grateful that our daughter is back home,” they said.
The teenager had been missing since May 1, with her last whereabouts being Vereeniging. Didi left her home in Tumahole to visit a friend in Parys. The family said Didi meant to return home on May 4, but when they called her phone, it went straight to voicemail.
The family thanks everyone who assisted in finding Didi. The Tumahole police have since expressed gratitude to the community for their assistance in locating the missing teen, stating that their collaborative efforts played a crucial role in ensuring her safe return.
The family said investigations into the matter are ongoing, saying they would brief all stakeholders once more details about their daughter’s disappearance come to light.
