Brotherhood once again embarks on school shoes fundraising
Vanderbijlpark Rotary Club, together with Gtococ, donated 14 pairs of shoes, while BC Lifestyle Lounge donated R1 000 to this charity event.
SHARPEVILLE.- Brotherhood Club once again clubbed together and hosted a successful School Shoe Fundraising Tournament.
This annual sports event took place at Tsoaranang Primary School in Tshepiso on Saturday.
This unique initiative saw each participating team contribute five or more pairs of school shoes/as part of the participation fee. This is the second year the Brotherhood Club has hosted this event, with the main aim of holding those school learners who come from a disadvantaged community.

Some sporting activities that formed part of this event were netball and soccer.
Some of the teams that took part in this fundraising sports event were Groenpunt Correctional Services soccer team, CBI soccer and netball team, BC Lifestyle Lounge, Vaal High School Teachers soccer team, Cheetahs Netball Club, Brotherhood soccer team, Hlanganani soccer team, X20 Masters, Transnet, and netball team. It was a hive of activity throughout the day in the form of entertainment, with the Tshepiso community coming in numbers to support this initiative.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Amos Koadibane, who is the man behind this initiative, hailed this year’s project as a great success. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that this year’s event was a huge success and they achieved their objective.
“We want to thank everyone who made this event possible by contributing to its success. I was overwhelmed by the support and contributions we received on the day. The event went as planned, and we donated these school shoes to the schools of our choice,” he said.
