Man’s body found at Houtkop railway line
The police received a complaint that a body of man was spotted on the railway line.

SEBOKENG.- The South African railway system in Gauteng has collapsed, leading to the rapid rise in crime such as cable theft and murder, with bodies being discovered along the railway lines and the neglected and vandalised buildings at train stations, almost every other week.
One such example is an inquest case that is being investigated by the Sebokeng police after a man’s body was found at Houtkop railway line near Boiketlong, in Zone 10 Industrial in Sebokeng on Monday.

It is said that on Monday, the police received a complaint that a body of man was spotted on the railway line.
“On arrival, the police found a lifeless body of an African male lying on the railway line and upon further examination by the Emergency Medical Services personnel, the African male had sustained swollen lips and he was declared dead at the scene,” said police spokesperson, Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane.
The deceased was wearing a black top, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
