Update: Vanderbijlpark power supply interruption

" Provided that all goes according to plan, power supply will be restored before end of business tomorrow (today)."

VANDERBIJLPARK.- With the delivery of the 3-core cable at  the Vanderbijlpark town substation, The Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) said, yesterday afternoon, that technicians have completed the following work:
– Identification of downstream cables
– Phasing of cables to downstream substation
– Looping of RMU and feeder cables
The team is also finalising the following work tomorrow (today):
– Dry ice cleaning of cable compartments and 6 panels in the switch room
– Connection of cables to the switch room
– Testing of arc protection relays
– Pressure testing of busbars
” Provided that all goes according to plan, power supply will be restored before end of business tomorrow (today). The municipality continues to plead for patience from affected consumers while restoration efforts are finalised. We apologise for the inconvenience,” the ELM said.
