SHARPEVILLE.- The Sharpeville police are investigating a murder case after a man was mysteriously killed in Sharpeville last week.

The Sharpeville police responded to a complaint on Friday, June 20, at about 19:30 where a witness informed them that he was driving on Seeiso Street in the direction of Vereeniging when he heard gunshots inside a Quantum (taxi), said police spokesperson, Constable Busisiwe Sango.

“That is when he phoned the police, and upon further investigation, the police found a man lying inside the quantum with multiple gunshot wounds. The suspect is unknown at this stage and an investigation is underway,” Sango added.
