SEDIBENG.- The newly promoted Young Pirates FC will play their ABC Motsepe League home games in Midvaal in the new season.

This was revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport by the SAFA Sedibeng deputy president, Velaphi Motsepe.

Motsepe told Sedibeng Ster Sport that it is a done deal, Pirates will play their official home games at the Meyerton Stadium under Midvaal Local Municipality. He said it is a work in progress to improve the venue to host these top-flight football matches.

Motsepe said the Midvaal Local Municipality and Young Pirates FC came to an agreement that the Meyerton Stadium will be the official home ground of the club. This was after the club gained promotion to the ABC Motsepe League. Last season, Young Pirates FC played their SAFA Sedibeng Hollywood League home games at Rand Water.

“This is good news for Midvaal soccer fans. This is exciting news for the development of football in the area, and I do not doubt that the people of Midvaal are going to support this team. Like I said in our previous interview, the club is now the pride of Vaal, and it needs our support,” said Motsepe.
