SEDIBENG.- The two local girls hoisted the Sedibeng flag high at the Telkom Netball Championships that came to an end over the weekend in Cape Town.
The two girls are Tshepiso Mokoena from Johannesburg, who was named the best U19 Player of the Tournament, and Bokamoso Segele.

Segele from Zone 14 in Sebokeng was named the best centre in the U17 division.
Sedibeng Netball Federation President Fakazile Nketsing confirmed the news and told Sedibeng Ster Sport, the two players put Sedibeng on the map for their achievements. Mokoena started her netball career with Tsoelopele Netball Club and Fighters Netball Club, respectively, before she moved to Johannesburg.
Segele, who plays for Vaal Eagles Netball Club, moved to Krugersdorp High School with a school sports bursary. To make it interesting, Segele is part of the top 16 selected national team players that going to Eswatini in August. Nkitseng congratulated the two netballers for their remarkable achievements.
“It was a proud moment for everyone when we heard the news that the two scooped the best award in the Telkom Netball Championship. This means we have players in this region that can compete against the best in the country,” said Nkitseng.
