BOIPATONG.-  The tireless work of the Boipatong SAPS detectives has not gone unnoticed.

The detectives recently managed to successfully get convictions on five cases that were under their investigation.

Police spokesperson, Constable Selina Mthimkulu, said that the head of detectives, Captain Mokgotho, ensured that his team did the work without leaving any stones unturned in order for justice to be served.

“Suspects are fairly charged and get sentenced. Furthermore, Warrant Moss Moragajane encouraged the members for the teamwork and dedication they have on their work and assured them that police work needs to be conducted holistically. To serve and protect the citizens is what police took an oath for.”

The following cases successfully got the convictions:

– Three undocumented (persons) cases

– One assault GBH

– One Contravention of protection order

“The three undocumented persons were arrested for failure to produce legal documentation, and appeared in the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate’s Court, where they were convicted and sentenced to time in prison and later to be deported to their places of origin.”
