Pirates’ new season boosted by powerful Vaal Combination
Pirates are well known for signing unknown talent from the Vaal.
SEDIBENG.- Local soccer fans are waiting in anticipation for the Betway Premiership season to start.
The main reason is to witness the Vaal combination between Relebohile Mofokeng, Boitumelo Radiopane, and Tshepang Moremi. These three from Sebokeng and Sharpeville, respectively, are expected to lead up front for Orlando Pirates’ attack this season.
Tshepang Moremi from Sharpeville was the latest player from the Vaal to be signed by Pirates.

This is something the Vaal should be proud of seeing at least three players from this region, playing not only on the same team but on one of the biggest teams on the continent. The above-mentioned young stars are expected to carry Pirates on their shoulders.
Pirates are well known for signing unknown talent from the Vaal and have established themselves as a household name in South African football.
Phiri Tsotetsi, Steve ‘Chippa’ Lekoelea, Joseph ‘China’ Masondo, Motlatsi ‘Boom Shaka’ Mohopeoloa, and Sailor Tshabalala, to mention but a few, went on to make a name for themselves in South African football.

The same is expected from Mofokeng, Radiopane, and Moremi. However, Mofokeng has already established himself as a wonderkid on the soccer field. Radiopane, who was also promoted from Pirates’ Diski Challenge Team, had to be loaned for game time while Moremi was signed from Amazulu.

To keep things interesting, Orlando Pirates will face Mamelodi Sundowns in the much-anticipated MTN8 semi-finals.
