Former nightclub owner appears in court for child pornography
The charges against the accused, as set out in the official charge sheet, include alleged rape, sexual assault, and the use of a so-called date-rape drug, as well as other serious charges involving minors.

SASOLBURG – A former nightclub owner (62) from the Vaal Triangle briefly appeared in the Sasolburg Magistrate’s Court in connection with allegations of sexual offences and possession of child pornography.
According to the accused’s legal representative, Grant van Bochove, the case was postponed so that additional information for the bail application could be obtained. The court requested this extra information from the state before the bail hearing could proceed. Once the court receives the necessary documentation, the bail application will go ahead.
The accused remains in custody.

The case is being investigated by the Provincial Serial and Electronic Crime Unit (SECI).
Years ago, the accused was a bouncer at a nightclub in Vanderbijlpark and later owned his own nightclub in Vereeniging.
The identities of the minors cannot be disclosed.
