Mahlale-a-Lekoa aims to fight unemployment

“We want to make pleading to our community we are aware of people who call meetings and use our name taking money from the society promising them employment."

SEDIBENG.-  A local Non-Profit-Organisation (NPO), Mahlale-a-Lekoa aims to fight crime and unemployment in the region.

The organisation was formed in 2013 to fight poverty.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Happy Monyake, the Chairperson of the organisation, said that they are sad that there are people that are trying to derail them.

“We want to make pleading to our community we are aware of people who call meetings and use our name taking money from the society promising them employment. We want to state very clearly that there is no such, we want to come clean that those people mess up our program of unemployment forum and take advantage of the people by taking money from them.”

Monyake further said that they are making progress in building good relations with different companies in the area and that the public should be patient.

“We are pleading with the community to attend our meetings so that they can be informed. We are almost there; our people should just be patient.”
