This event marked the first of its kind organised by the branch, aimed at promoting their respective traditions and cultures.
SEBOKENG.- Orlando Pirates Greater Sebokeng Supporters Branch celebrated Heritage Day in Zone 10 on Sunday.
The event was a hive of cultural activity, with supporters proudly showcasing their traditional attire.

Among the highlights of the day was the “Best Traditional Outfit” competition, where Pontso Mokoena and Monica Xulu stole the show and walked away with the award. The two received the trophy for their stunning outfits, which outshone everyone. This event marked the first of its kind organised by the branch, aimed at promoting their respective traditions and cultures.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, the branch spokesperson, Mzwakhe Zondo, described the day as a great success, bringing supporters together to honour their roots through football.

“This is something all PSL club supporters should consider doing. Football, being a mass participation sport, offers the perfect opportunity to celebrate who we are,” Zondo said.

Zondo went on to challenge supporters of other clubs to join in similar initiatives, even proposing a large-scale Heritage Day event involving fans from across the PSL.
“As supporters, we must be proud of our culture,” he concluded.
