VEREENIGING.- The founder and artistic director of Crescendo Singing Music Studio and the Vereeniging Crescendo Singing Youth Choir, Tshepo Taole, wishes to uplift and inspire people in the Vaal.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Taole said that the Vereeniging Crescendo Singing Youth Choir was started to give young people, especially high school learners, a space to develop their voices, discipline, and confidence through music.
“The mission is to uplift the standard of choral and classical singing in the Vaal region and to create a positive, nurturing environment for youth to grow artistically and personally,” he said.
The Crescendo Singing Music Studio is the heart of this vision, he said, adding that it was founded to make vocal training, music education, and choir development more accessible in our community.

“We offer private singing lessons, workshops for teachers and choir conductors, and training programmes for school choirs to help them build and sustain strong music programmes. We also host non-competitive choral concerts — events that bring schools together to showcase their talents, learn from one another, and celebrate music without the pressure of competition. Our first event, the Winter Choral Concert, featured three school choirs and four opera singers. It was an incredible success!”
The choir is now preparing for their biggest event yet, the Vaal Christmas Carols Festival set to take place on November 28 at 17:30 at NG Kerk Oosterlig in Vanderbijlpark.
The event will feature choirs, bands, vocalists, and instrumentalists, a true celebration of community and the joy of Christmas, Taole calls it.
“I believe your audience would really connect with this story, it’s about growth, youth empowerment, and spreading positivity through music. Your support would mean a lot to the young musicians we’re mentoring and to the broader music community in the Vaal.”
