Man shot multiple times in Sicelo
Police are on a manhunt following a murder incident that happened on January 11.
The police in Meyerton have launched a murder case docket following a shooting incident that occurred on January 11, around 19:00 in Extension 4, Sicelo.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, police spokesperson Constable Nompumelelo Zazini reports that police on duty were alerted about the incident.
“On arrival at the scene, members found a black African male lying on the ground inside the yard. The deceased was wearing black and white shoes, blue jeans, and a blue t-shirt.”
Zazini states that the deceased had sustained multiple gunshot wounds on his body.
“Paramedics attended the scene and certified the victim deceased. Preliminary information indicates that the deceased was chased by two unknown male suspects, both reportedly armed.”
Zazini confirms that the deceased has since been identified by members of his family.
“At this stage, the motive for the killing remains unknown, and no arrests have been made. Investigations are ongoing.”
