SEDIBENG.- The future of netball in Sedibeng is looking brighter than ever as the 2026 season officially gets underway.

Sedibeng Netball Federation chairperson Fakazile Nkitseng is feeling very positive about the year ahead.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Nkitseng said they have already started preparations, and she is convinced this year is going to be a great year for the region.

She confirmed with Sedibeng Ster Sport that the Sedibeng Netball Teams plan to pick up where they left off. Last year was a major success for local teams, especially the notable performance at the Spar Netball Championships in December. Nkitseng said Sedibeng Netball’s primary goal is to foster a supportive and competitive environment where all teams can thrive.

“I am proud of the huge progress that the Sedibeng netball teams made last year,” she said.

“On behalf of the Sedibeng Netball executive committee, I would like to welcome all members, old and new, as we prepare for what promises to be a fantastic season of netball. I do not doubt that this is going to be a great year for Sedibeng netball. Our federation is built on a strong sense of community where we seek support and also give back by addressing social ills through sports and other initiatives,” added Nkitseng.
