VANDERBIJLPARK.- Sedibeng Netball Federation selectors were hard at work selecting the U21 and Senior Teams at Isak Steyl Stadium on Saturday.
These trials were led by former national player Monique Meyer, whose experience helped ensure everything ran smoothly. She was joined by Dudu Msane, a highly respected coach recently honoured by Netball South Africa for her dedication to developing the sport.

Adding to the expert panel was Mojalefa Radebe, the newly appointed U21 Head Coach, who still plays at a senior level. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, President of Sedibeng Netball Federation Fakazile Nketsing said she is satisfied with the progress made by the federation.

However, Nketsing acknowledged that more work lies ahead to fully realise their goals.
“As we continue with preparations for provincial and national competitions, Sedibeng Netball Federation remains committed to fostering talent, promoting inclusivity, and strengthening the future of the sport across the district. I’m so excited because these trials attracted an impressive turnout. It was encouraging, particularly athletes from Lesedi attending Sedibeng trials for the first time. I have no doubt, we are on the right path with netball development in all our regions, seeing new regions represented like Lesedi,” she added.

The federation has selected two teams (A and B) for both the Under-21 and Senior categories. These players will represent the district in the upcoming Provincial Games. If there are enough participants for the National Championships, both teams in each age group may get the chance to compete on the national stage.
