DA Central Constituency demands jobs and growth
"Workers deserve fair opportunities and safe working conditions."
SEDIBENG. – The DA Central Constituency used Workers’ Day to celebrate the hard work of South Africans while highlighting the country’s growing unemployment crisis.

DA’s Daddy Mollo said that Workers’ Day must serve as a stark reminder of the millions of unemployed South Africans who remain excluded from the opportunity to earn a living and provide for their families.
He argued that true freedom is more than just the right to vote, but that it is the ability to access meaningful work, acquire skills, and participate in a growing economy.
The best way to protect workers…
“It is unacceptable that unemployment remains so high while many communities continue to face deepening poverty, failing service delivery, and limited economic opportunities. The DA firmly believes that the best way to protect workers is through job creation. This can be achieved by growing the economy, supporting small businesses, attracting investment, and ensuring that municipalities deliver reliable services that enable businesses to thrive.”
In his closing remarks, Mollo said that workers deserve fair opportunities, safe working conditions, and a government that prioritises job creation.
“Equally, the unemployed deserve real hope and sustainable solutions — not empty promises.”
