Mayibuye hosts Youth Day voter registration drive

"We remain committed to fighting for a society where every child has access to opportunities."

SEDIBENG. On June 16, in Ward 02, Zone 20, The Afrika Mayibuye Movement (Mayibuye) successfully hosted a Youth Day voter registration drive and fun day, where they also donated 150 pairs of school shoes to deserving learners.

We are reminded that many of our children are being robbed of their future.

Patrick Sindane, Mayibuye National Organiser, said, “As we commemorate June 16, we are reminded that many of our children are being robbed of their future. Poverty, unemployment, crime, and social challenges have denied them the opportunity to simply be children and dream freely about tomorrow.”

The smiles on the faces of the children are a reminder that small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference.

Sindane said that the initiative was aimed at restoring hope, encouraging civic participation, and demonstrating that communities can come together to uplift one another.

“The smiles on the faces of the children who received school shoes are a reminder that small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference. We remain committed to fighting for a society where every child has access to opportunities, quality education, and a brighter future.”
