Lenacapavir roll-out at Zone 7 sports ground
Lenacapavir is a groundbreaking, twice-yearly long-acting antiretroviral injection that is said to be nearly 100% effective in preventing HIV infection.
SEBOKENG. – Gauteng Health Department Executive Managers together with the Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) Executive Mayor, Hassan Mako, and key stakeholders, attended the Youth Winter Games and Lenacapavir roll-out at Zone 7 sports ground on Friday.

This event was aimed at empowering young people with knowledge, access to health services, and education on Lenacapavir, a groundbreaking HIV prevention option.
This initiative was also aimed at empowering young people through health education on safe sexual practices, sexual and mental health, and career opportunities.

Lenacapavir is a groundbreaking, twice-yearly long-acting antiretroviral injection that is said to be nearly 100% effective in preventing HIV infection.
“Through health education and community engagement, the Department of Health is committed to ensuring that youth are informed, empowered, and equipped to make healthy choices,” the department said.

The following services were available on site Lenacapavir Information and Education, Prep, HIV Testing Services (HTS), Family Planning, winter games and recreational activities.
