SEDIBENG. – The Active Citizen of South Africa (ACSA) announced its delight after welcoming a group of new members from the United Independent Movement (UIM). The regional structure of the UIM recently defected to join ACSA and was officially welcomed by ACSA party leader Robert Thema and head of elections Edwin Kele.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Kele said they were thrilled to welcome Professor and Dr Burger, who are husband and wife working together in politics, alongside Benjamin Honiball, Shaun Hunters, and Rosemary Texeira, who previously established the UIM in the Vaal under the chairmanship of Prof Burger.

They also welcomed Zainul Saley and Habib from RSSC in Roshnee.

Kele described the new members as community-driven individuals dedicated to serving others without expecting anything in return.

“Prof Burger will contest ward 25, Mr Shaun will contest ward 23, Rosemary will contest ward 10, Mr Saley will contest ward 21. Mr Habib will contest ward 16, Mr Honiball will contest ward 9, and Dr Burger will contest ward 5.”

Kele added that ACSA continues to grow organically because the party serves the community with passion and love.

“Our community deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. Service delivery is not a privilege, but an obligation from government to offer to its community. ACSA appeals to communities of Vaal to stand up and make a difference in our own streets where we live. Change is not easy but is inevitable. Change is here through ACSA.”
