Pirates supporters in Vaal donate school shoes
Going to school with shoes that are not in good condition is a challeng.
SEBOKENG.- The Greater Sebokeng Orlando Pirates Supporters Branch embarked on a charity drive by donating school shoes to Siviwe Primary School on Monday.
The branch has been involved in many charity initiatives, with the most recent one being on Mandela Day.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, the branch spokesperson Mzwakhe Zondo said they donated 4 000 school shoes to learners. Zondo said they are aware that this is the biggest challenge for many learners, going to school with shoes that are not in good condition.

He said this affects their confidence in the classroom when looking at other fellow learners or classmates.
The Greater Sebokeng Orlando Pirates Supporters Branch is led by the welfare committee members Puleng Mnune and Dola Chabedi. Zondo said it was heartwarming to see how excited learners, teachers and the principal were when they visited the school.
He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that they were overwhelmed by how much the learners appreciated the donation.
“We want to thank all our supporters for their contribution to make this project a huge success. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the school principal and teachers for opening the doors for us,” said Zondo.
