EVATON.- The Levai Mbatha Rehab Team recently held a training session with Community Health Workers (CHWs) on how to identify children living with disabilities.
The CHW’s were trained on children living with disabilities within their communities, and how to connect them to appropriate rehabilitation services.

The Sedibeng District Health Services (SDHS) said that through this initiative, identified children will be linked with Shonaquip, an enterprise that provides wheelchair services, assistive support, and solutions for children with disabilities.

SDHS said that this initiative is an important step towards early identification, referral, inclusion, and improved access to essential rehabilitation services, ensuring that children with disabilities are not left behind.

“Together, we can build more inclusive communities where every child has the opportunity to participate, thrive, and reach their full potential.”
