Sundowns carries the hope of SA in CAF Championship League

Sundowns once won this CAF Championship under Coach Pitso Mosimane.

SEDIBENG.-  The DStv Premiership Champions Mamelodi Sundowns carry the hope of South Africans ahead of their CAF Championship League away match against Wydad AC tomorrow, 13 May.

Sundowns will host Wydad AC in the return leg on 20 May.

If their current performance is anything to go by, there is no doubt that Sundowns will reach the finals of this competition. Sundowns made a big statement on their road to the knockout stage to the Semifinals beating high-profile teams such as Al Ahly and CR Belouizdad.

Sundowns made their intentions clear in the competition when they beat Algeria giant CR Belouozdad 6-2 in aggregation score to reach the semifinals.  After being knocked out of Nedbank Cup, Sundowns’ intention is to add a second CAF Champions League star on their jersey. This is a chance for Sundowns Coach Rhulani Mokwena to prove his worth at the club apart from winning the DStv Premiership title.
