Relebohile Mofokeng big winner at PSL Awards

" The awards signal even greater things ahead for the young player."

SEDIBENG.- Bafana Bafana star Relebohile Mofokeng triumphed at the Premier Soccer League Awards last night, collecting three major accolades following his stellar campaign in the Betway Premiership.

The former Orlando Pirates sensation claimed the titles of PSL Footballer of the Season, Betway Premiership Player’s Player of the Season, and Betway Premiership Young Player of the Season.

His brilliant form was instrumental in guiding Orlando Pirates to the PSL championship before his transfer to Belgian club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise on a four-year contract.

Mofokeng’s impressive displays also earned him a place in the South Africa squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026, where he helped Bafana Bafana reach the tournament’s Round of 32 for the first time in history.

Because he is already in Belgium preparing for his new team, his parents accepted the awards on his behalf. Meanwhile, his family successfully managed the Relebohile Mofokeng Foundation Tournament in Sharpeville during the school holidays. Commenting on the achievement, Sechaba Mofokeng said the awards signal even greater things ahead for the young player.
