Sharpeville star Relebohile Mofokeng shines in Saints-Gilloise’s Europa League victory
This serves as a major confidence booster!
SEDIBENG.- South African soccer star Relebohile Mofokeng announced himself in style with a goal on his UEFA Europa League debut last night.
The Sharpeville-born young star had a great start to the evening when he put Royale Union Saint-Gilloise ahead 18 minutes into the game. The Bafana Bafana forward produced a five-star performance to help his Belgian side beat Czech opponents Viktoria Plzeň 3-0.

Mofokeng ran past two Plzeň defenders before beating the goalkeeper with brilliance. Sedibeng Ster Sport had predicted that Mofokeng would be a player to watch, and he certainly did not disappoint.
It was his debut in the UEFA Europa League since joining the Belgian club from South Africa, marking the best possible way for him to announce himself on the big stage with all eyes on him.
This serves as a major confidence booster.
His incredible performance came a day after Bafana Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane announced his 30-man squad to face Guinea in the African Cup of Nations qualifier at Orlando Amstel Arena in Soweto on September 23.
This serves as a major confidence booster for Mofokeng ahead of the much-anticipated match.

No doubt, Mosimane will be looking forward to welcoming Mofokeng with a big smile after speaking highly of him during a press conference.
The whole of South Africa, especially his local community, took their excitement to social media to celebrate his standout performance.
Fans can not wait
South African soccer fans cannot wait to welcome him back following his move to Saints-Gilloise in June. He will also look forward to reuniting with his former teammates at Orlando Pirates, although, ironically, his homeboy Tshepang Moremi is not part of the Bafana Bafana squad.
