BOIPATONG.- Boipatong FC fought back from three goals down to secure a thrilling 3-3 draw against Tshwane South College in the ABC Motsepe League Stream A at a packed Boipatong Stadium on Sunday.

The six-goal thriller saw the home side trail 3-1 before fighting back thanks to goals from Bonginkosi Ngakane, Buyisele Bathoeng, and Siyabulela Mosiea.

Boipatong looked dead and buried after being dominated in every department during the first half, but inspiring second-half substitutions made by coach Thabang Mphuti turned the match around.

Former Sekhukhune United forward Tshidiso Tshehla was among the substitutes who immediately made an impact, leaving many supporters wondering why he and the other substitutes had not started the match. A full-capacity crowd packed the venue, creating an electric atmosphere as fans cheered their team through the drama.

Although the visitors controlled the first half, Boipatong showed great character to salvage a point. Despite the dramatic draw, Boipatong FC remains at the bottom of the league table with just one point from their opening three games of the season.

WORDS FROM COACH: Thabang Mphuti, ‘I’m proud of our boys for their never-die spirit even when we were 3-1 down, but they kept on fighting. We could have won this game, but unfortunately considered soft goals.

It is back to the drawing board because our next game is away against Free Agents FC. This is one hell of a game. It is not going to be easy, but we will go there well prepared.’
