Meyerton protest linked to housing delivery dissatisfaction

MEYERTON. – Midvaal Local Municipality reports that the  residents of Sicelo are dissatisfied with the slow delivery of housing by the Gauteng Department of Human Settlements.

According to a statement, residents demanded that they be given subdivided stands in Sicelo extension 4 and 5.  The Municipality then responded that it would be impossible to provide residents with stands  as thorough planning has to be conducted.

The meeting took place on June 27 when representatives of Sicelo visited the Midvaal Local Municipality to discuss concerns pertaining the delivery of housing.
