Vehicle rollover leaves woman (71) seriously injured

A 71-year-old woman was left seriously injured following a vehicle rollover on the R42 in Vanderbijlpark on Friday morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find a wrecked light motor vehicle on the side of the road. An elderly man was found walking around on the scene while an elderly woman was found seated in the passenger seat of the vehicle.
Medics carefully extricated the woman from the vehicle and assessed her, finding that she had sustained numerous injuries.
The woman was treated for her injuries and provided with pain-relief medication before she was transported to a nearby clinic for further treatment.
The local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
