Football suspended in Sedibeng

SEDIBENG. – All Sedibeng soccer sporting activities have been postponed until the further notice. These includes the Safa Sedibeng SAB League, Emfuleni Local Football Association’s (ELFA) Super League and junior soccer league.

The postponement of the league programme follows the much publicized COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Safa has since written a letter to all its affiliates to cancel all the football activities, not only in this region but the whole country.

Emfuleni Local Football Association (ELFA) Chairman, Jabu Mqcina told Sedibeng Ster Sport that for the safety of everyone who is involved in football there will be no league matches played this weekend until further notice.

“We have decided to suspend all our league activities until further notice,” he told Sedibeng Ster Sport.

Meanwhile, the NWU Vaal Development League also cancelled their league programs because of the current situation in the country.
