Still time to enter this year’s Mr and Miss Vaal Pageant
To all the lovely young ladies and handsome young men of the Vaal, remember that you can still enter for this year’s prestigious Mr and Miss Vaal Pageant - but hurry, as entries close on June 30!
“The Vaal Pageant is not an ordinary beauty contest but a true ‘change maker’ and strives to make a positive impact in the Vaal,” says Erika Labuschagne, former Mrs South Africa Globe 2019, and currently in her reigning year as Queen of Africa 2020.
Erika definitely brought her A game when taking ownership of the Vaal’s most prestigious pageant and became the new CEO of the Vaal Pageant in 2019. Erika is a qualified beautician, educator and makeup artist.
She also featured in TV Series Getroud Met Rugby and Binnelanders and is a co-host for a Woman Talk Show “Die ABC van Vrouwees” on IFM 102.2.
Erika asked Carolyn Baldwin Botha, CEO of Africa Pageants, to be a mentor for the Vaal Pageant. Carolyn conducts some 14 pageants a year without fail, and also has a license for about 52 international pageants.
In 2020 Africa Pageants became an official sponsor of the Vaal Pageant, sponsoring complimentary entries to all the Vaal Pageant 2020 winners to the Africa Pageants.
