THIS is a place where you can relax and enjoy a hearty meal while taking in the fabulous close-up views of Margate beach.
The Cock & Tail Cafe is not your conventional restaurant, but a more casual style of dining which is the perfect place to take the family.
You don’t need any airs and graces here. It’s geared for people to hang out, enjoy good food and good times. The decor is an eclectic mix of musical maestros and celebrities from years gone by, like Marilyn Monroe and Charlie Chaplin, which just adds to the charm.
The menu offers a great variety of basket meals including pizza, hot dogs, fish, tramezzinis and salads for the health conscious. Of course, the children can also enjoy their own little basket meals.
“We do food our own way,” says general manager Neville Storbeck. “It is a popular hang-out for locals and visitors who come to enjoy the toe-tapping funky music, the delicious combo food baskets and the exciting and exotic cocktails,” he added. Sports fans enjoy watching their favourite sports stars on the the big screen.
The Cock & Tail Cafe also caters for functions such as weddings, awards evenings or any special occasion and can seat up to 200 people. It is the perfect venue for any event.
The Cafe is open from 10am till very late in season and out of season, it is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
