BRONWYN TANNER – Tuning In: Be a responsible dog owner

It is also advisable to keep a copy of your dog's vaccination card on your phone.

Two people were bitten by dogs on Pennington Beach recently. In both incidents, the owners left the beach without leaving their contact details. As a result, the injured have incurred medical costs and are unable to confirm the dogs’ vaccination statuses.

A Pennington beach lifeguard was bitten while on duty last Thursday. The dog owner is a woman with two dogs; she promised to return the next morning to check on the lifeguard and discuss medical expenses. She did not return. The lifeguard has incurred travel costs and his tracksuit pants was badly ripped.

An appeal is made to the dog owners (or information pertaining thereto) to contact Tidy Towns Pennington on 074 9772266. Remember to be a respectful and responsible dog owner! It is also advisable to keep a copy of your dog’s vaccination card on your phone.

To the person or persons who decided to remove not one, but two cycads on the verge of a property in Pennington Drive – residents of Pennington are encouraged by Tidy Towns to look after the verge of their properties which is done with pride. What gives you the right to take something that does not belong to you? Unfortunately, the cycads cannot be replaced; those beautiful plants have been replaced with aloes; and an eye will be kept on them!
