Angelic duo entertains at The Rock

TOP South African singer songwriters, sensational Josie Field and Laurie Levine, will make a welcome return to the South Coast this weekend.

Catch this angelic duo live at ‘The Rock Music Bistro’ in Umzumbe on Sunday, November 8, from 1.30pm.

Josie’s blues-infused vocal-rock earned her a Best Female South African Music Award nomination three years ago and her voice connects perfectly with Laurie’s intimate folk, country style. Laurie has also received plenty of applause and her album, ‘Six Winters’, earned her the South African Music Award for the Best Produced Album ‘in 2012.

A real treat for music lovers, their performances are purely acoustic with the musicians using guitars, banjos, ukuleles and other instruments to highlight their unique vocal harmonies, as they present slightly different interpretations of their most popular songs.

Resident musician Jade Green will entertain at The Rock on Friday, November 6, from 6pm. Locals are invited to come along and jam on Saturday, November 7. The jam session starts at sundown, Please note booking is necessary at all these happenings.
