Attend this shell talk

COWRIE species occur in oceans all over the world and all are formally known by their special Latin names.

The meanings of these names are sometimes as fascinating as the creatures they describe, as a talk by shell expert Roy Aiken will show.

He will give a presentation on the naming of cowries at Crystals Galore at the Surf Bay Centre in Shelly Beach on Saturday, November 5 from 1pm.

Entrance is free and everyone at the talk will have a special little memento, in the form of a free cowrie shell, to take home.
