DIVE in and explore Portuguese culture and cuisine!

This weekend’s (July 9 and 10) Portuguese Mariners’ Family Festival will be held at the scenic Estuary Hotel and Spa.

Hosted by Margate Round Table 46 and National Sea Rescue Institute, the event is focused on wholesome family fun with loads of live entertainment: Portuguese dancers, treasure hunts, a beauty contest and loads more to look forward to.

Girls aged between 16 and 25 years are encouraged to enter the special Miss Mariners 2016 pageant on Saturday. There will be great prizes up for grabs and the winner will have the auspicious honour of becoming the face of the Portuguese Festival 2017.

There will be a mini treasure hunt on Saturday, July 9 while on Sunday, July 10 there will be the amazing treasure hunt with a prize of R5 000 up for grabs.

The entrance fee is R50 per person and R100 per person respectively.
