Celebrate Christmas in July

AFTER the great success of the variety show at the Margate Bowling Club in May, Sparkles, Child Welfare’s oversized cuddly teddy, will host a dinner to celebrate Christmas in July at YaYa’s in Southbroom on Saturday, July 30 at 6.30pm.

South Coasters always have to celebrate Christmas in the heat of summer but wouldn’t it be great fun to have a celebration in the middle of our winter?

The evening will start with gluhwein on arrival, then a glazed ham and roast turkey main course served with all the trimmings, rounded off with sherry-infused trifle. Entertainment will be provided by Bertie Bennett on guitar, who invites everyone to sing along during the evening.

Spot prizes, a raffle and an auction will keep the evening bubbling, all in the cause of raising funds for Child Welfare, Margate.

Price for the evening is R200 per person and the numbers are limited to about 45 to ensure special attention and the best dinner to be had in the depths of our winter.
