Church bazaar celebrates yesteryear
STEP back in time at the Port Shepstone NG Church bazaar, taking place at Suid-Natal Hoërskool on August 6, from 7.30am.
The organisers of this year’s bazaar have chosen an ‘outydse’ theme and have come up with all sorts of church bazaar ideas and attractions from yesteryear.
An old-fashioned bazaar would, of course, not be the same without fresh meat for sale and the bumper fresh meat stall at this year’s bazaar will be a major attraction.
Don’t miss out on the home-made boerewors that is sure to be snapped up soon after the bazaar opens.
As usual hungry visitors will be able to sample a range of tasty bazaar fare like pancakes, jaffles, tea and cakes, but this year even the bazaar menu will be given an ‘outydse’ revamp.
Traditional Afrikaans dishes like offal (curried tripe) and stamp mielies, pap and kaaings will be available. There will be a wide variety of handcrafts, pickles, jams, preserves, biscuits and other homemade treats. And don’t miss out on a bit of bargain hunting at the extensive white elephant stall.
