Diwali show promises to be spectacular

Viashka Ramsayi of Marburg reminds everyone not to miss the Diwali show.

DIWALI, or Deepavali, the ‘festival of lights’, is the most popular event on the Hindu calendar.

The Hindu Cultural Federation is a non-profit umbrella body encompassing all Hindu religious organisations in the greater Port Shepstone area.

This organisation will host the 2015 Diwali show at the Marburg Sports Complex next Saturday, November 7 from 6pm. The show will feature various music and dance items. Meals will be served to all at supper time. The grand finale is a spectacular firework display.

To launch this year’s celebration, a colourful float parade will be held from the Shoprite parking area at 10am into the CBD of Port Shepstone, finishing at the Port Shepstone Civic Centre, where lunch will be served.
