Gear up for the Umzumbe Extreme

THE South Coast Powasol Umzumbe Extreme is ready to roll.

The event, held in the picturesque farming area in Umzumbe, starts and finishes at Southport (Chorley Avenue) this Saturday, July 11 at 7.30am for 8am.

This year’s route is a gruelling 8km longer. Course director Bronson Louw and Cameron McBean have invested a lot of effort to make the track as professional as possible.

They promise the riders are in for one of the most challenging days they will ever have on two wheels.

“It will be a test of skill, determination and true grit to get to the finish,” they said.

Bikers must find their way through slippery rocks, bush forest, fallen logs and rolling grasslan
